OneSource - Estee Lauder
Everything in one place for Estee Lauder Employees
Introduction
As the UX designer for Estée Lauder’s OneSource app, I helped envision and deliver an integrated digital platform that empowers employees with everything they need—in one place. OneSource was designed to unify disparate tools, streamline self-service, and enable quick access to HR, legal, and support resources from any device.
Challenge
Estée Lauder faced growing inefficiencies caused by:
Antiquated systems and fragmented services
A disjointed employee experience requiring navigation across multiple tools and portals
Lack of insight into employee needs and service usage
Slow processes that impacted both employee satisfaction and overall business agility
Employees struggled to manage HR tasks, access support, and find relevant documentation efficiently, which slowed the pace of work and created friction across the organization.
Solution
Our goal was to create a single, unified experience that put employees at the center and delivered a seamless, user-friendly interface accessible anytime, anywhere.
As the UX designer, I led the design of:
App Branding: Establishing a cohesive identity for the OneSource app, including the app icon, launch screen, color scheme, and marketing assets tailored for iOS and Android.
User Flow and UI Design: Designing intuitive workflows for approvals, notifications, and self-service tasks within a custom Salesforce Lightning app, leveraging the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) for consistency.
Mobile-first Experience: Ensuring that OneSource was fully responsive and optimized for employees on the go, with 24/7 access to essential services and knowledge resources.
Customer-centered design: Conducting regular design reviews, incorporating feedback, and iterating rapidly to align the interface with employee needs and expectations.

Results
The OneSource app delivered a dramatically improved employee experience:
Unified portal: Employees now had one place to access HR, legal, and support services, reducing friction and saving time.
Increased efficiency: Self-service tasks could be completed faster, empowering employees and enabling a more agile organization.
Mobile accessibility: 24/7 access on any device improved support for a distributed, global workforce.
Stronger connection with employees: By listening to employee needs throughout the design process, we built an empathetic, user-informed product that improved satisfaction and engagement.
In short, OneSource helped Estée Lauder accelerate its business by putting employees first, delivering an intuitive, beautifully branded experience that simplified day-to-day tasks and supported growth.
